My oldest sister got me back into going to church when I was a teenager, and my Christian faith really deepened during my time at the Air Force Academy. While I was there, I met my wife, Conny, and we were married in 1988 right after I graduated. During my 22 years as a fighter pilot in the US Air Force, we moved from Texas to New Mexico to Alaska to Florida to Las Vegas to England and back to Alaska. It was during our time in Florida that we became convinced the Reformed Faith is the biblical theology that is most consistent and faithful to God’s Word.
When we returned to Alaska (and America!) after 6 years in England, we eagerly sought out a reformed congregation. In God’s providence, we started attending Grace OPC. I retired from the USAF in 2010, and was ordained an elder the next weekend (those events are not related in any way!).
Conny and I have 6 children, two who are out of the house, and the four youngest still in various phases of leaving home and growing up. I now fly 737s for Alaska Airlines, and enjoy flying warbirds, and following the Seattle Mariners and St. Louis Cardinals (in that order–sorry, Scott!).
